Thanks, Michael. With all the scams being foisted on folks these days, I find myself somewhere between extra cautious and paranoid...

Yes, on Discord.

I think most of us suffer from the laws of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and not caring much for change once we're comfortable where we are. My knee jerk reaction to this was 'discard the discord,' but now that I've played with the new platform …

The instructions on the page don't synch with what my laptop sees, but its workable once figured out. I got to the Hip Discord page, but I get a message: "You do not have permission to send messages in this channel." Now what? Do I need to download …

"That s fine...you're free to waste your own time and money on something frivolous. It's the American Way." Time: Maybe 2-minutes to get onto the APS site and click to order however many cards one wants. Money: They're FREE to members. Frivolous: H…

I used to order smaller amounts that came without my name printed upon them and just applied the ink stamp that I used on my circuit book purchases as an ID. I found that I went thru them so quickly, I ended up ordering the larger number with printi…

I think there's a minimum order before they'll print your name on the cards (200?). Regardless, there's no cost.

Auction that ended without any bids?

Listing ended by seller.

Thanks much !

Stamps that are clearly SO endemic to their issuing country that ya just gotta love them (especially if ya read 'Babar' as a kid)...
-
I'm guessing those are the item (listing) numbers. If the 2930615 order was listed in your store at an earlier date than the others, that would explain the lower number.

Thank yew !

Scott, I was strictly going by the finding of manuscript on stamps, although as you mentioned, these were not cancellations. I didn't realize that Alonzo Castle Monson was the printer. I always thought he was the Postmaster's assistant and brother i…

Well, I spent from December 28th of last year to the end of January in the hospital, so the Mouse was/is being fostered by a couple from my old Church (2-hours south from here). I still have some recuperating to do and expect to have him back home w…

I've always been attracted to the engraving found on early revenue stamps and was beyond ecstatic to come across a batch of blue 1897 Canadian Gas Inspection issues in a recently bought box lot.

I would think these result from broken pins on the perforating machine

Awesome commemorative coin, Luree, on so many levels !

As usual, there will likely be some unintended consequences, to whit, how many of us use old commemoratives on our mailings, sold as discount postage? There are plenty of anecdotes making the rounds where even current commemoratives aren't recognize…

I guess whatever "genius" cut the block in half opted to cut into the design at the bottom of the top pair, leaving the clear margins with the bottom pair. What a travesty that the block is no more.

Left stamp's left frameline is doubled (recut) and missing on the stamp's right side?
-
Michael makes a good point. Upon further review, the '12' followed by an 'M' is most likely a time stamp (12 midnight).

Actually, each cds is dated 12 July. I see no indication of a year date in any of the markings.
